Emmet County Woman Found Not Guilty of Embezzlement

A jury found an Emmet County woman not guilty of embezzling from her employer in Petoskey.

Police arrested Erin Zitka and Joshua Sawinski last fall saying they worked together to embezzle at least $8,000 from the Noggin Room Restaurant.

While all charges against Zitka are now dropped, Sawinski is already serving his 6 month sentence after admitting to his role in the crime.
