Local Agriculture Business Expanding Beyond Michigan

Northern Michigan has plenty to offer when it comes to home grown foods.

Now, a new partnership is hoping to bring expansion.

The Michigan State University Extension office was at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay to make the announcement.

The new northwest Michigan regional agriculture business services partnership will help reach far beyond Michigan.

It's meant to help local food-based goods not only be grown locally, but also to be processed, and sold at markets, stores, schools and retail stores.

Local businesses interested in learning more about the partnership can contact the MSU Extension office.
