Feedback at 5:00- Supreme Court Decision

Posted: Updated:

The Supreme Court says it's unconstitutional to sentence juveniles to life in prison without parole for murder.

This morning, the Supreme Court decided children to prison for the rest of their lives with no chance of ever getting out.

The decision is in line with others the court has made, including life without parole for young people whose crimes did not involve killings.

Court considered it "cruel and unusual punishment" to not offer parole.

Michigan has the second in the U.S. for the number of prisoners serving life for crimes that happened when they were 17 and younger.

For tonight's "Feedback at 5:00," we asked what you thought of the court's decision.
