Horse North Rescue Hoping for Hay Donations to Nurse Horses Back to Health

Posted: Updated:

Horses don't end up at Horse North Rescue unless they are in trouble. The rescue takes them in if they're malnourished or not wanted anymore. Right now, they have seven horses in their care, and they expect more in the coming months, and these guys need to eat.

The rescue says they're running low on hay, the horse's primary source of food. An unhealthy horse will typically eat one square bale of hay per day. The price of those bales have gone up at least $1.00.

The rescue now has a fundraiser for hay donations, they're calling it their "Bale-a-Thon". To donate, visit: www.horsenorthrescue.org
