Horse Pulls, Live Music and More at "Pulling for a Cure" Fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

When you take agriculture and combine it with entertainment, you get something known as "agri-entertainment."

And that's what you'll find this weekend at Geers Farms in McBain!

The family-friendly farm will host its first ever Pulling for a Cure event.

Families will enjoy horse-pulling competitions, live music and lots of exciting activities for the kids.

Geers Farms will donate all the money raised throughout the day to the American Cancer Society.

Alex Jokich and Stephanie Adkins were live there in Missaukee County on Thursday morning with a preview.

(Pulling for a Cure kicks off with a horse-pulling competition at 2pm on Saturday, June 23 at Geers Farms in McBain.  Live music from the Jack Pine Pickers will begin at 7:30pm.  A $5 donation is required to attend the horse pull.  All other activities are donation only.  For more information on the event or on Geers Farms, check out the links posted on the left.)
