A conference over the last three days at Ferris State University put the spotlight on foster kids, and helping them plan their future, before they leave the foster care system.
The Michigan Teen conference, sponsored by Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, sought to make sure that the 150 kids attending, had a good idea of the options they have, as well as learning some basic skills for dealing with real world problems of finances, employment, higher education, even relationships.
