More motor homes are crossing the Mackinac Bridge - just one sign this is likely the start of a strong camping season.

Just to the north, at Straits State Park, in St. Ignace, reservations are up 15-percent.

Statewide, the D.N.R. says reservations at state campgrounds and recreation areas are up 23-percent.
