Feedback at 5:00- Zero Tolerance Policy

Posted: Updated:

The state group says expelled students are more at risk to drop out and never finish their education.

Zero-tolerance policies are typically in place for things like bringing a weapon to school or other serious offenses.

Many schools say they understand the state board's desire for flexibility, but that student safety is paramount. And many districts have programs that expelled or suspended students can use to continue their education.
