MORE DETAILS: Arson For Hire Plan Foiled In Charlevoix County

Investigators put an end to an arson for hire plan in Charlevoix County before it even had a chance to heat up.
Deputies arrested a 50-year-old Charlevoix man the sheriff says unknowingly hired a police informant to burn down the Bergmann Center.
The informant went straight to detectives, and the building is safe now.
The Bergmann Center is a life skills building center for adults with disabilities.
The plan, according to the sheriff, was to start the fire in the office area of the building, but to remove the computers first.
Investigators are not releasing the suspect's name at this time, but the sheriff says he's not an employee, board member or client of the Bergmann Center.
