State Board of Education urges local school districts to reevaluate zero tolerance policy

When a student is expelled, it's meant to protect the student body.

But the Michigan Board of Education wants schools to re-evalaute their zero tolerance policies.

Removing kids from school may be safe, but it hurts the expelled student's learning.
