Prices vary around the region, but most everyone has seen a rise in gas when they go to fill up. Prices in Grand Traverse County are hovering around $3.89; that's about a 20 cent jump from just yesterday.
According to AAA, the statewide averages is about $3.73; that's up 11 cents in the past week. Stations in Grand Traverse County say the prices seem to go up and down very quickly, and have done so the beginning of each week.
Part of the reason for the rise is inventory supply in the Midwest has dropped because of refinery maintenance.
