Search crews are combing Lake Mitchell, two days after a man went underwater and never came up.
Multiple agencies from around the area were at the Mitchell State Park boat launch in Cadillac today, searching for a man presumed to have drowned in the lake on Friday.
Today's relatively calm winds made for an easier search.
Deputies say the victim jumped in the water on Friday afternoon to save his child who had fallen overboard. He was able to get the child back into the boat, but hasn't been seen since.
The victim's identity has not been released.
Crews on the lake are using sonar equipment and aircrafts are searching from above.
The Wexford County Sheriff's Office along with the DNR will maintain a presence on Lake Mitchell until the victim is found.
