State Police Searching for Sexual Assault Suspect

Michigan State Police need your help tracking down a man who they say sexually assaulted a young girl on a Manistee County beach.

It happened Thursday at Eleanor Lake Beach near Brethren when the suspect strangled and assaulted the 12-year-old.

Police say his name may be Richard or Ricky.

He's a white male in his late 20's to early 30's.

He's 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds with short dark hair, brown eyes and is unshaven.

The man was last seen wearing jeans, a Detroit Tiger's shirt and a red, white and blue jacket.

Police say he may be camping in Manistee or Wexford counties and could have ties to the Gaylord area.
