Former DNR Worker Admits to Trying to Bring Wolf Pelt Across Canadian Border

Posted: Updated:

A former Michigan DNR worker admitted she tried to bring a wolf pelt into the US from Canada, a crime that violates Canadian law.

The DNR confirms Kellie Nightlinger no longer works for the department.

Federal court records show the crime happened in Mackinac County and elsewhere, in November 2010.

Nightlinger just recently entered the guilty plea.

She could spend up to a year in prison.
