Fight Cancer and Celebrate Survivors at 24-Hour "Relay for Life"

Posted: Updated:

The Grand Traverse Civic Center will be packed with hundreds of people this weekend who will have one thing in common.

They're all hoping to raise more than 80,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life.

During the overnight fundraiser, relay teams circle the track for 24 hours straight.

The event also features a variety of other activities, including a Luminaria Ceremony and a Survivor's Lap.

Alex Jokich and Stephanie Adkins were live in Traverse City on Wednesday morning with a preview.

(Grand Traverse Relay for Life kicks off Saturday, June 9th at 10am.  For more information or for a schedule of events, check out the link posted on the left.)
