E.M.S. Agencies Facing Possible Paramedic Problem

Paramedics respond to emergencies every day -- but could be facing an emergency of their own because of a new state requirement.

The Michigan Department of Community Health wants schools that offer paramedic programs to apply for accreditation.

But it's a costly, time consuming process -- and some say they can't come up with the cash -- or resources -- to make it happen.

As 9&10's Evan Dean and Joel Deaner explain, fewer classrooms could inevitably mean fewer students.
