The Ashmun Street Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie was closed for about an hour this evening after police say a woman hit a cement abutment, went airborne and landed on its roof.
Police say it was the first accident of that kind on the bridge.
They told 9&10 News that the driver was alert when they arrived at the scene.
The driver told police she was looking to her left, then veered right.
Police are looking into whether she was texting at the time of the accident.
