Forest Service Spokesperson Retires After 24 Years

Carol Nilsson is retiring from her position with the Huron-Manistee National Forest.

Carol started working for the US Forest Service on the East side of the state in 1988 and came to the Cadillac area a couple years later.

She has been a spokesperson for the Huron-Manistee National Forest for the past 20 years, taking us to the frontlines of fires and helping 9&10 News get the word out about fire danger.

Carol says she will miss her job but feels she is ready to enjoy retirement.
