Roscommon County Fugitive Faced Judge Today

Posted: Updated:

The most wanted man in Roscommon County for a week is now back in police custody.

Everett Robinson appeared in court today, our first glimpse of him since a week long manhunt finally flushed him out of hiding yesterday.

Robinson escaped from police custody last Monday during a jail transport.

He assaulted a deputy, stole his car, gun and phone and then ran into the woods in Backus Township near Houghton Lake in Roscommon County.

That's when the week long manhunt began.

Robinson was caught yesterday morning and arraigned this afternoon.

He is facing 8 counts including armed robbery, carjacking and escape.

Robinson is being held in the Roscommon County jail without bond.
