Feedback at 5:00- Should Children Be Able to Have Medical Marijuana?

Posted: Updated:

More than 130,000 adults in Michigan have a medical marijuana card.

The Detroit News reports 44 children under the age of 18 also have a card.

The youngest is 7 years old.

A child must get 2 different doctors to agree on a prescription, whereas an adult only needs one.

All recipients are given options, but most parents say they put the drug in their children's food so they're not smoking it.

The state won't release what illness these children suffer and the American Academy of Pediatrics hasn't issued any rulings.

For today's "Feedback at 5:00," we want to know if you think children should be allowed to have Medical Marijuana?
