It's known as the unofficial start of summer, and Traverse City is booked solid for the three-day weekend ahead.
Tomorrow is still going to be big for travel, but it seems most visitors are settling in a day early. Business owners say Mother Nature is behind the early arrivals. The Keith J. Charters Traverse City State Park hit a milestone this Memorial Day weekend; it's been nearly 30 years since they booked up a full week ahead of time.
Those hundreds of campers will likely take to the water, boosting businesses who carry summer gear.
