Non-Stop Boat Prep Business For Local Marinas

With Memorial Day -- the unofficial kickoff to summer -- fast approaching, Grand Traverse County marinas are swamped prepping boats for the season.

Long Lake Marina is firing up engine after engine for their busiest week of the year.

From a little hardwire work... to a simple polish, the service workers are non-stop with all sorts of boat preps.

Just miles away at Traverse Bay Marine, there's also no down time for service workers.

And since the sun's been out and the heat is on early this year, marinas say tourists aren't hesitating to make the trek north.

9&10's Evan Dean stopped by a couple of busy boat shops today and has the story.
