Local high school football players hoping to get the attention of college coaches don't have to go downstate to a combine this summer because the combine is coming to them.
The 2012 Northern Michigan Football Combine and Exposure Camp will debut at Thirlby Field in Traverse City on July 27th.
The combine is the brainchild of Baldwin native and former Ferris State football player Ira Childress. The one-day combine is open to student-athletes in 10th through 12th grades.
