MORE DETAILS: 13 Hour Standoff Ends Near Idlewild

10:00 AM: Police say the standoff has ended.

Our crews on the scene say a tank was brought to the home, the tank shot a hole in a back window and sprayed gas into the home which forced the homeowner outside.

Once outside, police used a taser on the man and arrested him.

The standoff lasted 13 hours, and our crews on the scene say the standoff started when a zoning official came to talk with the man about a permanent yard sale he had going on in his yard.

When the zoning official was leaving they say the man began firing shots into the air.

Wednesday morning: 9&10 News is on the scene of a standoff situation near Idlewild.

Officials tell us last night around 8:20 PM Township Officials arrived at the home on South Foreman Road to talk with the homeowner about zoning issues.

The homeowner became angry and fired shots into the air.

Right now, sheriff's deputies and troopers are trying to negotiate with the man to come out of the home.

We're told his wife was inside with him but she came out of the home earlier this morning.
