State Trooper Shot and Wounded in Flint

State Police say a trooper was shot this morning while responding to a disturbance at a party store in Flint.

It happened around 12:30 AM on Saginaw Street.

When troopers responded to the party store two suspects fled on foot, during the pursuit a trooper was shot by one of the suspects.

The suspect was arrested after he was found hiding in the woods.

Michigan State Police say the trooper was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound and released.
