Black Ice Covers Grand Traverse County Roadways, Tow Trucks Out in Full Force

Tow trucks pulling cars out of trouble, a familiar sound today in Grand Traverse County. Charles is the President of Ward Eaton Towing; they were busy all morning, and busy everywhere.

The problem is, people only think "slippery" when they see snow; when actually, the freezing rain we got overnight is much worse. When we get a warm up, and the temps drop quickly, roads may look safe, but really aren't.

While you're trying to get to your job on days like today, be extra cautious so these guys can do theirs, safely.
