B.A.S.E.S Teen Center Looks At Northern Michigan Drug Trends

Teen drug abuse continues to be an issue, and one Charlevoix County group is trying to tackle the problem.

The Bay Area Substance Education Services Center is keeping an eye on drug trends.

The teen help center held a forum at the Charlevoix Library Tuesday night to talk about the biggest issues facing Northern Michigan.

They say prescription drug abuse is one of the biggest problems.

With a large retirement community, people often target the elderly for their prescription pills.

The center says synthetic, man-made drugs such as bath salts and K2 are another big problem.
