Otsego County Fire Destroys Pole Barn

Fire officials in Otsego County say a pole barn in Hayes Township is a total loss after a fire this morning.

It happened on Hayes Tower Road shortly after 9:00 this morning.

Officials say the barn had a tractor, pickup, snowmobile, welding equipment and tools inside.

A driver who passed the fire called it in. Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control within about 45 minutes.

Officials were on the scene for about 2 and 1/2 hours, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
