Traverse City Light and Power, and Traverse Area District Library Team up to Help Patrons Conserve Energy

You heat your home, but you also want to use your computer, your television, and your toaster...it all adds up. Traverse City Light and Power uses this meter to perform an energy audit on your home. Now, you can do that yourself by just going to the library. They're brand new to the library, but these handy meters are already a big hit.

So, how does it work?

Using the power meter to measure energy on your light bulbs is just one example. You can also use the meter on things you use everyday, big items like your TV and microwave.

So, you can be smarter about how you use electricity, and your favorite household appliances.

If you want to take one of the power meters home from the library, and there aren't any available, you can put one on reserve, just as you would a book.
