Joel Deaner - Northern Michigan's News Leader

I began working for 9&10 News in May of 2008 after earning a degree in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University.

Working as a photojournalist has brought me many adventures and unique experiences, and has given me the opportunity to travel all around the region. While I spend a lot of time on the road, I have found that there are always new things to discover in Northern Michigan. The best part, I believe, is being able to share those stories with you, the viewer.

In my spare time, I enjoy movies, books, and spending time outdoors.

I also like to travel and visit new and interesting places.
