
Alex Jokich joined the 9&10 news team in November 2009. She is a general assignment reporter and is very excited to be a part of Northern Michigan's News Leader! Alex graduated from Pepperdine University in 2009, with a major in Broadcast News and a minor in Sociology. At Pepperdine, Alex anchored and reported for the student newscast on TV-26. She was also honored by the department as its "Most Outstanding Broadcast News Graduate". Before coming to 9&10, Alex reported at Garden Grove Channel 3 in Orange County, CA. She also interned for the Investigative Unit at KNBC in Los Angeles and for the Health Unit at WMAQ in Chicago. Between internships, Alex studied abroad for a year in Florence, Italy. She treasures her time overseas and has also volunteered at orphanages in the Dominican Republic and Romania. Alex grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is thrilled to be back in the Midwest! She enjoys playing tennis, running, and coaching cheerleading. She's also a big fan of country music and the Chicago Cubs. When she's not out and about reporting in Northern Michigan, Alex loves spending quality time with her wonderful family and friends.
