Michelle started at 9&10 News as a general assignment reporter in 2000. She had every intention of fulfilling her two year contract and moving on, but life doesn't always work that way. The Chicago native married her now husband from Detroit in 2004. They had a daughter in 2008, and have established roots in their community. Northern Michigan is now home.
She has worn several hats since starting at the station, from reporting and anchoring for Michigan this Morning, the Noon and now evening shows. She currently co-anchors Michigan This Morning with Jessica Dupnack. She is also responsible for weekly, local health reports.
While she enjoys delivering the news to northern Michigan every night, her passion will always be reporting. She truly loves meeting all kinds of people and being fortunate enough to tell their stories.
When she's not working, Michelle loves spending time with her family and friends--who all love to cook and eat! She also enjoys running, biking, swimming, riding horses, travel and shopping. Another thing she enjoys is helping out her community. She feels the familiarity and recognition that come with this career is a great perk, and it allows for a lot of interesting charitable opportunities. Among her favorites are OASIS/Family Resource Center and Special Olympics.
She feels so fortunate to work for such a great station in such an amazing area. Michelle would like to thank all the loyal viewers that welcome the news team into their homes every day.
