9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are proud to help children in need with the 2008 Shoe Drive. Drop off a pair of donated shoes at your local Farm Bureau Insurance Agent's office during the month of October.
9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are proud supporters of Take Back the Night on October 9th. This Ferris State University event serves as a non-violent protest against domestic violence and sexual assault.
9/3 - Mt. Holiday Seafood Dinner 9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are proud to support Mt. Holiday’s 3rd Annual Seafood Dinner on September 22 at The Williamsburg Theatre. The evening includes a four course dinner, silent auction, and cash bar.
7/2 - Michigan Legacy Art Park’s Summer Sounds 2008 9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are happy to announce another year of Summer Sounds at the Michigan Legacy Art Park. Summer Sounds 2008 is a series of concerts that will take place at 7pm on Friday evenings from July 11 – August 8 at the Michigan Legacy Art Park located within the grounds of Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville.
6/2 - Catch the Reading Bug Summer Reading Program 9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are proud to support the Mid-Michigan Library League’s Summer Reading Program: Catch the Reading Bug. The Mid-Michigan Library League is made up of 47 libraries across Michigan, all of which are partaking in the Summer Reading Program by holding fun and educational events that encourage kids to read and connect them with their local libraries.
9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are happy to support numerous Relay for Life events taking place the summer of 2008. Relay for Life is a 24-hour team fundraising event held to benefit the American Cancer Society.
9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are supporters of Nature North, a celebration of Northern Michigan’s wildlife. This free outdoor expo at the Traverse City Civic Center on Sunday, May 18 from 10am-4pm is an event for the whole family.
12/12 - 2008 Special Olympics Summer Games 9&10 News Helping Hands Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company is proud to support the 2008 Special Olympics State Summer Games. The State Summer Games will feature many sports including aquatics, bocce, bowling, gymnastics, horseshoes, power lifting, weight lifting, team handball, and volleyball.
9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are happy to name Saturday, April 26 as Adopt a Pet Day in Northern Michigan. Animal shelters across Michigan are filled with loving animals in search of a “forever home”.
12/12 - 2008 Habitat for Humanity Flower and Garden Show 9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are proud to present the Annual Habitat for Humanity Flower & Garden Show held April 4-6 at the Grand Traverse Civic Center Arena in Traverse City. Exhibitors are expected from throughout Northern Michigan, each showcasing new products, old favorites, and innovative twists for your flower garden.
9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are happy to support Mid Michigan Community Action Agency and FiveCap’s Walk for Warmth on Saturday, February 23, 2008, in Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Midland, Newaygo, and Osceola counties.

Families are in need in communities across Northern Michigan and it often falls on food pantries to fill that need. Now, the pantries need help themselves.
