(AP) — Authorities in Washington state are searching for a man with an extensive and violent criminal past after four police officers were gunned down inside a Tacoma coffee shop Sunday morning. The county sheriff likens the attack to an execution, but one of the officers may have managed to wound the gunman.

KABUL (AP) — A rogue policeman reportedly opened fire on colleagues at a checkpoint in southwest Afghanistan. An Afghan official says six national policemen were killed and two others were injured. The suspect initially escaped but was later killed in a gun battle.

WINDERMERE, Fla. (AP) — Tiger Woods says he's embarrassed and done talking about his car crash early Friday morning. In a statement on his Web site, Woods says the situation was his fault and vowed it won't happen again. He's calling rumors of marital problems "unfounded and malicious."

NOVATO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Northern California say a teen driving a Mini Cooper ran a red light late last night and slammed into a minivan killing a family of four from Sonoma. The teen is listed in critical condition at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The highway patrol says there's no evidence of drugs or alcohol right now.
