PARKLAND, Wash. (AP) — A manhunt is under way near Tacoma, Wash. for the person who killed four police officers at a coffee shop Sunday morning. The officers were preparing for their shifts to begin and had been using their laptops. Police say one of the officers may have wounded the gunman. Police have identified a person of interest.

BURLINGAME, Kan. (AP) — Kansas authorities have arrested a former Columbia, Mo. city official for allegedly killing his wife and two teenage daughters. James Kraig Kahler had lost his job after he was charged with assaulting his wife. He's being held on three counts of suspicion of capital murder.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate is set to begin debate Monday on health care reform legislation being pushed by Democrats. But Democrats are divided. Some conservatives are opposed to a government-run coverage option progressives say is needed to keep rates competitive.

KABUL (AP) — A rogue police officer has killed six national policemen in southwest Afghanistan. Two other people were wounded. The shooting happened at a checkpoint. The suspect escaped.

WINDERMERE, Fla. (AP) — Tiger Woods calls the car crash outside his Florida home "embarrassing" and his fault. Woods and his wife once again canceled voluntary meetings with investigators. Woods' comments were posted on his Web site.
