NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Authorities in Louisiana say 13 children not wearing seatbelts were ejected from a packed minivan on an interstate in a crash that killed five people. Four of the dead were children. Authorities say the minivan blew a tire, clipped a delivery truck and rolled over.

(AP) — An arrest warrant for four counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder has been issued for a man in the Thanksgiving shootings of four relatives in Florida. Investigators in Florida have also alerted Michigan authorities to be on the lookout for the suspect.

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (AP) — Swerving to avoid a deer apparently resulted in an accident that killed an assistant football coach for Eastern Illinois University. The team had a playoff game against Southern Illinois earlier yesterday. Officials say offensive line coach Jeff Hoover, a staff member and family had been traveling back home from the game.

KABUL (AP) — Afghan officials say a gun battle along the border with Pakistan has killed 26 terrorists. None of the border security guards involved in the fight were killed during the battle in eastern Afghanistan. The Ministry of Interior says last night's battle occurred in Khost province.
