Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is calling a joint statement from Commonwealth countries more evidence that momentum is building for next month's climate change summit. During a meeting in Trinidad, the 53-nation bloc called for a legally binding agreement on global warming and up to $10 billion to help poor countries meet mandates.

Coremetrics reports the average amount online shoppers spent rose 35 percent compared to last year. At brick-and-mortar stores, meanwhile, ShopperTrak reported sales edged up half a percent.
