The Dow lost 155 points, while the S&P 500 lost 19 and the Nasdaq composite fell 38 points. The concern is that the financial trouble in Dubai could affect economies around the world.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Their big night at the White House could lead to criminal charges against a Virginia couple who attended a state dinner this week even though they weren't on the guest list. The Secret Service says the probe is moving "closer to a criminal investigation." But a lawyer for the couple says they were "cleared by the White House to be there."

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) — Police across South Florida are looking for a man suspected in the shooting deaths of his twin sisters, his aunt and a 6-year-old cousin. They were killed at a home in Jupiter where family members had gathered for Thanksgiving. Police say one of the sisters was pregnant.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — Nicole Stott is back with her husband and young son, after three months in space. She arrived with six others on the shuttle Atlantis, which returned to Earth today from an 11-day mission to the International Space Station. She had said during the flight that she was looking forward to some pizza.

UNDATED (AP) — Even after controllers re-established contact with a Northwest Airlines plane that flew past its destination of Minneapolis last month, they still weren't sure whether the crew was in control. Transcripts show the controllers asking if the cockpit is secure, and asking a few times for explanations of what happened. The pilots reported "cockpit distractions," but wouldn't elaborate very much.
