UNDATED (AP) — If a Toys R Us in Manhattan is any indication, it's starting out to be a typical Black Friday -- the traditional start of the holiday shopping season. People lined up 200 deep for the midnight opening. Other retailers opened yesterday and hope to lure the customers with deep discounts on everything from toys to TVs. VIENNA (AP) — Iran remains defiant today in the face of censure by the U.N. nuclear watchdog. Twenty-five nations of the International Atomic Energy Agency backed a resolution demanding that Iran immediately mothball its newly revealed nuclear facility and heed U.N. Security Council resolutions calling on it to stop uranium enrichment. Iran says it won't bow to threats. CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — It's been a little cool but the weather is clear at NASA's touchdown site in Florida, where the space shuttle Atlantis is set to land this morning. Mission Control told the seven astronauts that no one could remember such clear landing conditions. CHICAGO (AP) — Animal rescue advocates are hoping for a happy holiday for more than 50 dogs rescued from puppy mills in Missouri. They're being flown to Long Island, N.Y. in the hope of finding loving homes. Missouri is on an aggressive campaign to investigate and prosecute unlicensed dog breeders. More than 100 dogs were removed from a Missouri puppy mill in September.
