WASHINGTON (AP) — The lawyer for a couple who crashed Tuesday night's state dinner at the White House says "They just went to a party." He says they did nothing wrong, and shouldn't be charged with anything. The Secret Service is trying to pin down how they got in. BEIJING (AP) — The world's biggest polluter is promising to almost cut in half the ratio of its pollution to GDP in the next decade. China made the announcement just a day after President Barack Obama said he would spell out America's plan to cut its emissions at a climate summit next month. SAN SALVADOR, EL Salvador (AP) — A strong earthquake has shaken El Salvador and Guatemala, but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The quake was centered west of El Salvador's capital, and had a preliminary magnitude of 5.9. DENVER (AP) — When Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter got up this morning, it must have looked like it snowed overnight. But Ritter told KUSA-TV that it was actually toilet paper -- somebody had "teepeed" the front lawn. No word yet who, but Ritter notes that he has teenage children at home.
