Strategy session...Insanity plea?...Crib recall...NFL concussions

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama decision on the U.S. strategy in Afghanistan could come in the next few days. Obama has been meeting tonight in a rare evening war council session. It's the tenth Obama has held to determine whether to commit additional forces.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The lawyer for An Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people at an Army post in Texas says his client will likely plea not guilty. And attorney John Galligan says he may use an insanity defense for Maj. Nidal Hasan (nih-DAHL' hah-SAHN'). Hasan remains in intensive care at a military hospital in San Antonio.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A leading Democratic senator says his colleagues will approve health care legislation, with or without the backing of Republicans. Meantime, the GOP is going after Democratic moderates. A state Republican Party leader in Nebraska accused Sen. Ben Nelson of being on both sides of the legislation.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Cribs believed responsible for four infant suffocations are the subject of what's being called the largest crib recall in U.S. history. The government says Stork Craft Manufacturing is recalling 2.1 million drop-side cribs in the U.S. and Canada. About 150,000 of them carry the Fisher-Price logo.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The NFL and its players union have approved a list of independent doctors to evaluate head injuries. The list covers about half of the 32 teams so far. It's part of a new program requiring teams to find outside neurology experts to help team medical staffs when players get concussions.
