BAGHDAD (AP) — A top aide to Iraq's Shiite spiritual leader is calling on the country's political leaders to solve the crisis over Iraq's election law. The country's Sunni vice president vetoed the bill this week, saying Iraqis living abroad should have more seats in parliament. The parliament is expected to vote tomorrow on how to resolve the situation. BRUSSELS (AP) — Senior diplomats from the U.N. Security Council's five permanent members and Germany are meeting in Brussels today to discuss possible ways to punish Iran for its refusal to halt its uranium enrichment. Two days ago, Tehran effectively rejected the latest plan brokered by the International Atomic Energy Agency and aimed at delaying Iran's ability to build a nuclear weapon. CHICAGO (AP) — "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will finish its run in 2011. That's when Oprah is expected to launch The Oprah Winfrey Network. It's a joint venture with Discovery Communications. Winfrey's production company says she'll announce the current show's final date during a live broadcast today.
