Today's the first day of the firearm deer season and for many hunters, it started off with a bang.

It was a busy day at buck poles around Northern Michigan as hunters couldn't wait to display their trophies.

The buck pole started to fill as early as of 9 this morning at the Community Center in Wellston in Manistee County.
