One man is dead after his home caught fire in Oceana County.

The fire happened around 11:30 A.M. Saturday on 5th Street near Mears.

Once the fire department put out the fire, they found the man inside.

The fire chief says the fire may have started in the living room area, near the couch.

The fire department says they couldn't find any smoke detectors inside the home.

The chief says it looks like the fire was accidental but it's still under investigation.
