As winter approaches, organizations in Traverse City are seeing an increase of people in need of help. These organizations are also seeing fewer donations coming in.

The Women's Resource Center and the Salvation Army say tough times have people cutting back as we get closer to the holidays. Although some might not be donating as much, every dollar counts.

This year, the Salvation Army is expanding their red kettle campaign by adding seven locations in Traverse City. They're hoping more people will lend a hand during the holiday season.
