10,000 pounds of food are now sitting in cupboards of dozens of families in need. A food drive put on by Cadillac businesses and groups got underway Thursday.

The donated food comes from Gleaners food bank and local groups sponsor the cost of transporting the food to the drop off site. It's a chance for the community to help those who need a little extra support during these tough times.

The food drive will continue for the next 14 months. You can pick up food the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in the Cadillac Goodwill parking lot beginning at 3pm.
