Budget cuts and an increase in salt prices could make it a slippery winter for drivers in Northern Michigan.

Salt prices are up more then 20 percent this year.

The Mecosta County Road Commission in Big Rapids says they've had to make a number of adjustments this year to deal with increasing costs.
