My husband just laughed at me when I told him one crossed my path just south of the Kinross exit this past Oct. It really was just sauntering across the highway when I had to slow down to take a good look. I was amazed but not frightened.
now that the dnr admits the existance of a cougar (at least 1) what should we expect from them to deal with the situation. In case of an attack on us, or any of our animals?
why would anyone deny this i seen one years ago and was laughed at whos gigglin now watch your animals and kids these things dont eat nine lives kitty chow........meow ......or megrawl
I told the DNR where there were 28 tracks in a sandy trail a few years back and they told me the tracks were from a dog. Funny think is none of the tracks had any claw marks in the wet sand and I have never seen a dog that could retract it's claws.
Cougars don't exist in Michigan, but Dogman and ghosts do? What a silly month it has been.
Wild animals will dwell where and when they please. Their presence or absence is like the cat in Pandora's box.
Will you believe it when you see it, or see it when you believe it?
That's awesome! I want to see one. I've seen bears around Petoskey twice and I even saw a badger a couple of years ago about 4 miles south of town on 131. If I could see a cougar in the wild I would be happy.
