Everyone made it out safely of a Kalkaska County home that caught fire early this morning.

Flames were shooting out of the engulfed home by the time firefighters arrived on scene at about 1:30 this morning. The home is located on Kerbeson drive near East Lake, between Kalkaska and Fife Lake.

Flames were so intense that firefighters could not get inside right away, but we have confirmed the homeowner called in the fire and he is okay. We'll have more on this story throughout the day.
