BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — An Ypsilanti man has been found not competent to stand trial in the fatal stabbing of his wife at a store and travel stop off Interstate 94 in south central Michigan.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports 27-year-old Kentish St Ange was deemed not able to assist in his defense. A Calhoun County district judge on Tuesday postponed his case while he receives treatment. St Ange is charged with open murder in the Aug. 4 stabbing death of Aloysia St Ange at Love's Travel Stop and Country store in Marshall. Police say Kentish St Ange called 911 and said he killed his wife. Defense attorney John Vincent has said St Ange doesn't remember some of the incident and hears voices. St Ange may be able to stand trial after receiving treatment. ___ Information from: Battle Creek Enquirer, http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com
